Role Summary
- Ol Pejeta Conservancy is seeking a high-calibre, self-motivated, and dedicated Digital Literacy Officer to lead and manage the Digital Literacy Programme, with a strong focus on the African Ruggedized Education System (ARES) implemented in partnership with donors and education stakeholders. The role will also support data management and socio-economic surveys across Community Development Programs (CDP), including education, agriculture, and governance.
- In addition, the role holder will oversee and coordinate Digital Literacy Support facilitators, ensuring efficient delivery of technical support to partner schools.
Responsibilities
- Deliver digital learning technology and provide technical support to schools participating in the ARES programme.
- Provide ICT technical support and utilisation training to schools supported under the Digital Literacy Programme.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support Digital Literacy Support facilitators, including planning assignments and monitoring service delivery to schools.
- Work closely with teachers to support curriculum delivery through digital teaching and learning approaches.
- Ensure ICT laboratories are accessible, functional, and effectively utilised for teaching and learning.
- Manage and support data collection, surveys, and reporting across CDP projects, including development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
- Coordinate communication with donors and partners, including hosting and managing in-country visits.
- Liaise with the Ministry of Education, school principals, and ICT teacher leaders to ensure proper use and maintenance of ICT equipment.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in ICT and digital learning and proactively integrate best practices.
- Prepare weekly work schedules and monthly reports for submission to the Manager Education.
- Collect photos, videos, and stories for reporting and communication with donors and the Ol Pejeta Conservancy PR and Marketing Department.
- Promote positive relationships between Ol Pejeta Conservancy, partner schools, and neighbouring communities.
- Uphold Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s mission, values, health and safety standards, and conservation objectives.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Community Development Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education and Technology or a related field
- Specialised training in conservation education or community engagement is an advantage.
Experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in implementing digital literacy programs.
- Experience in supervising or coordinating a team will be an added advantage
