Fullstack Developer

Role Overview

This position sits at the core of our travel technology product, where you will design, build, and refine the software that powers both our customer-facing hotel booking experience and the internal tools our operations teams rely on daily. You will spend your time shipping features across the booking funnel, integrating third-party hotel supplier data, and ensuring that search, pricing, and payment flows work reliably at scale. Your work directly affects how quickly and smoothly travellers can find and book accommodation, and how effectively our back-office staff can manage inventory, orders, and supplier communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the customer-facing booking website using Next.js and React, covering everything from hotel search and availability displays to the final checkout experience.
• Build and maintain the internal admin/backoffice platform used by operations teams to manage bookings, customer requests, and hotel inventory.
• Integrate and maintain connections with hotel supplier APIs, normalising data from multiple sources into a consistent format for search, pricing, and booking.
• Optimise the search, availability, and pricing logic to deliver fast, accurate results while handling complex inventory rules and currency conversions.
• Design and extend PostgreSQL database schemas, write efficient queries, and build backend REST APIs to support frontend features and internal workflows.
• Implement and support payment and fulfilment workflows, ensuring transactions are processed securely and booking status updates are communicated correctly.
• Contribute to the deployment pipeline, including Docker containerisation, CI/CD configuration, and server-side maintenance to keep our environments stable.
• Collaborate with product and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into clean, testable, and maintainable code.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and backend service development.
• Deep hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, and writing complex joins or stored procedures.
• Proven ability to work with third-party REST APIs, including authentication, webhooks, error handling, and data transformation.
• Comfortable building both polished frontend interfaces (responsive for desktop and mobile) and robust backend services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, token-based authentication, and how data flows between client, server, and external services.
• Experience with Git for version control, Docker for containerisation, and Linux-based server administration.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of features end-to-end, and make pragmatic architectural decisions without requiring constant oversight.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in the travel, hotel, GDS, or booking platform industry.
• History of building admin dashboards or internal operational tools.
• Experience with search technologies, caching layers (e.g. Redis), or payment gateways.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Polaris, React Query, Drizzle ORM, or MeiliSearch.
