Job Overview
The Data Engineering Intern will provide specialized data engineering support, focusing on data integration and pipeline development using a variety of tools and technologies. The role demands hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow.
- Implement data integration solutions on Azure Data Factory to move and transform data from multiple sources.
- Create and optimize data models and reports in Power BI to support business analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
- Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure pipeline reliability and performance.
- Document data engineering processes, pipelines, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field from an accredited and recognized institution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, MIS, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience or coursework in SQL and Python for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud-based ETL/ELT services.
- Ability to develop reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
