Role Overview
This project leadership role is responsible for taking telecommunications or ICT projects from initial planning through final delivery. You will align technical teams, field operations, suppliers and clients around agreed scope, budgets and schedules, while managing risks and quality so each project meets its objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct project planning and execution from kickoff to completion, tracking progress against scope, schedule and budget.
- Coordinate work across internal technical teams, contractors, vendors and client representatives.
- Organise project resources and field teams to support delivery milestones and operational requirements.
- Oversee technical deliverables and confirm they align with project objectives and agreed requirements.
- Identify delivery risks early, assess their likely impact and put practical mitigation measures in place.
- Monitor quality throughout implementation and address issues that could affect the final outcome.
- Keep project participants aligned on priorities, dependencies and delivery progress.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, ICT or a related discipline from a university recognised in Kenya.
- At least 10 years of overall professional experience in the telecommunications or ICT sector.
- At least 7 years of relevant project delivery experience, including successful delivery of three or more projects of comparable nature and complexity.
- Recognised project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI or an equivalent qualification.
