Job Purpose
Growth of medical insurance business to meet set annual premium targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure new business directly or through intermediaries across all business channels.
- Maintain excellent customer service to intermediaries and clients.
- Service existing business and follow up on renewals for medical insurance.
- Forward proposal forms and all KYC documents to the underwriting department.
- Ensure timely collection of premiums in accordance with the credit control policy.
- Prepare weekly reports as required by the BDM Corporate Health.
- Undertake initial underwriting in accordance with set guidelines to ensure sound acceptance of risk.
- Respond to customer and client enquiries.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a business-related field.
- Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, IIK) or progressive work towards completion of an insurance qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
Delegated Authority
As per the approved Delegated Authority Matrix.
Key Performance Measures
Performance will be measured against annual premium targets, client satisfaction, renewal rates, and compliance with underwriting and credit control guidelines.
