We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Manager to lead our commercial operations and drive revenue growth.

Job Summary

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies that enhance profitability, manage key accounts, and expand market reach. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in sales, business development, and cross-functional team management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the agribusiness value chain and proven success in driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead and manage sales and business development teams to optimize performance.
  • Manage key accounts, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, marketing, finance) to align commercial objectives.
  • Monitor and report on commercial performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, Commerce, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ progressive commercial leadership experience, with at least three (3) years managing sales or business development teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Experience managing key accounts, pricing, contract negotiations, and market expansion.
  • Strong understanding of the agribusiness, FMCG, food production, or value chain sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence business decisions.
