Description:
A leading international construction and contracting company is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The organization delivers major building, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects across the GCC and is expanding its commercial operations to support ongoing project growth in the UAE.
The successful candidate will oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale construction projects, ensuring effective cost management, contract administration, and commercial compliance. This role requires extensive experience in the construction industry, along with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all commercial and contractual activities across major construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
• Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC conditions and project requirements.
• Manage claims, variations, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and final account negotiations.
• Monitor project cash flow and commercial risk exposure.
• Oversee subcontractor administration, procurement activities, and commercial compliance.
• Provide commercial guidance and strategic support to project teams and senior management.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution while protecting the company’s commercial interests.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a Related Field.
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in commercial, contracts, or quantity surveying functions within the construction industry.
• Proven experience working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in contract administration, commercial management, and project cost control.
• Previous experience with major contractors on high-value projects in the UAE or GCC is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Commercial reporting
• Procurement and subcontractor management
• Commercial risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certifications such as MRICS, CIArb, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
