Role Overview
This position centres on taking full ownership of a portfolio of high-value accounts, driving revenue growth while ensuring each relationship delivers lasting value for the business. Day to day, you balance strategic planning with hands-on execution: negotiating listings, coordinating supply, and making sure your brand remains front-and-centre in every outlet you manage. Your efforts directly determine market share expansion and the long-term profitability of key trade partnerships in a competitive beverage landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain deep partnerships with major customers, including distributors, national supermarket chains, wholesale operators, hotels, and restaurants.
- Design and roll out tailored account plans that deliver on aggressive volume, revenue, and profit margin objectives.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering product pricing, shelf listings, and promotional investment, all within established corporate guardrails.
- Oversee in-store execution to maintain ideal stock levels, correct product placement, and strong visual merchandising that elevates the brand.
- Track market shifts, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities, then convert those insights into new business within existing or untapped accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to secure smooth order fulfilment and dependable service delivery.
- Produce regular sales performance updates, volume forecasts, and comprehensive account reviews while honouring all regulatory requirements for alcoholic beverages and company policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or an equivalent discipline.
- Three to four years of proven success in key account management or business development, ideally within FMCG or beverage sectors; direct experience with alcoholic beverages is a distinct advantage.
- Solid grasp of the modern trade, wholesale, and distributor landscape, including how these channels operate and buy.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and protecting margins.
- Excellent relationship-building ability, capable of influencing both external clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with experience in sales reporting, forecasting, and performance review.
- High level of autonomy and reliability, able to execute plans independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
