Your ability to spot gaps, correct them quickly, and keep staff motivated directly protects the company's reputation and client retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan daily sanitation schedules for offices, washrooms, common areas, and specialised client facilities, adjusting assignments based on staffing levels and site priorities.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to verify cleanliness, identify deficiencies, and implement immediate corrective actions before they escalate.
  • Maintain quality check documentation, including daily activity logs and incident reports, for review by the Operations Coordinator.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client feedback, resolving routine complaints professionally and escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Manage staff deployment and attendance, including shift rosters, punctuality tracking, and professional appearance standards.
  • Deliver practical onboarding and refresher training on chemical safety, equipment handling, and correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and PPE, maintaining accurate logs to prevent wastage, shortages, or unauthorised use.
  • Inspect janitorial equipment regularly, arrange servicing when needed, and report damaged items promptly to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: KCSE certificate or a certificate in housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning technology, facilities management, or occupational safety.
  • Experience: At least 2 years working in a commercial cleaning company, with a minimum of 6 months in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Operations capability: Proven experience coordinating shift schedules, inspecting commercial facilities, and managing on-site team dynamics.
  • Quality assurance mindset: Strong attention to detail when assessing sanitation standards, floor care, and environmental hygiene.
  • Communication skills: Clear verbal and written ability to direct ground staff, interact with client representatives, and document incidents accurately.
  • Safety knowledge: Solid understanding of chemical dilution ratios, safety data sheets (SDS), and hazardous handling precautions.

What We Offer / Why Join

This full-time, on-site position is based in Kisumu City and surrounding areas, with a monthly salary of KSh 20,000–25,000. You will take real ownership of quality standards across multiple client sites while gaining leadership experience within a growing facility services operation.
