Job Role: Business Development Manager

Remuneration: KShs. 150,000 – 200,000 (Negotiable)

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager with a deep understanding of the Kenyan pharmaceutical landscape to spearhead our commercial growth. Strategic Deliverables

Growth Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Design and implement comprehensive account plans that align with overarching business objectives and revenue targets.

  • Identify and cultivate high-value partnerships and new business opportunities across designated regions.

  • Conduct rigorous market analysis to stay ahead of competitor activities, emerging trends, and regulatory shifts.

  • Manage account budgets with surgical precision to ensure maximum profitability and return on investment (ROI).

Leadership & Knowledge Transfer

  • Lead the training of marketing and sales team members, ensuring high-level product knowledge and technical proficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with healthcare and marketing teams to deliver cohesive, value-driven solutions to clients.

  • Provide the executive team with regular, data-backed reports on account performance, highlighting trends and actionable insights.

  • Mentor team members in advanced negotiation and relationship-management techniques.

Relationship Governance

  • Establish and nurture deep-rooted relationships with key customers and institutional stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary bridge between the company and high-level healthcare providers, ensuring their clinical and commercial needs are met.

  • Negotiate complex contracts and service level agreements to secure long-term commercial stability.

Candidate Profile

The Essentials

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm), Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences.

  • Domain Expertise: Minimum of 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on sales and key account management.

  • Technical Edge: Prior experience in product development is considered a distinct competitive advantage.

  • Leadership: Proven track record in managing teams and high-budget portfolios.
