Job Objective/Purpose
Accounts Assistant (Budgeting& Reporting) ensures accurate and quality revenue capture and protection per laid down policies and procedures of the organization and in accordance with Accounting Standards
Main Responsibilities
- Data analysis-Gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources like budgets, income statements, and balance sheets
- Performance Monitoring-Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing variances against budget, and reporting on financial performance
- Collaboration-Working with various teams to gather data, provide analysis, and ensure financial alignment across the organization
- Risk Management- Identifying and assessing financial risks and developing mitigation strategies
- Financial Analysis- Analyzing financial data, interpreting trends, and identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Cost Management- Analyzing costs, identifying areas for potential savings, and contributing to cost reduction strategies
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations
- Presentations-Presenting financial models and reports to management accountant clearly explaining financial issues, risks, providing recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions
- Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.
Key Deliverables for this position
- 100% accuracy in reporting and revenue recognition
- Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities
- Expertise in relevant software like Excel
- Proficiency in accounting
Person Specification
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance/Accounting
- CPA II
- ACCA
- Data Analytical
- Minimum of 3 years' work experience in Finance and Accounts
- Attention to detail
