Accountant

Role Overview

As an Accountant in a Dubai consulting and business services team, you will manage everyday financial activity, from recording transactions and handling invoices to processing payroll and completing reconciliations. Your work will help keep financial information dependable and support the company’s UAE tax compliance, reporting, and close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily transactions and maintain organised, accurate accounting records.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Calculate payroll and coordinate salary payments through the UAE WPS process.
• Track expenses, petty cash, cash flow, and costs associated with projects.
• Prepare supporting records for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and filings.
• Produce monthly financial reports and contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and work with auditors as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and WPS payroll processes.
• Practical experience with accounting software or ERP systems, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Capability in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Experience in manpower, contracting, trading, or industrial services is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion when handling financial information, and effective time management.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is beneficial.
