Role Overview
This digital marketing role will grow Ligoo’s visibility and B2B pipeline across Kenya and the wider East African renewable energy market. You’ll tailor global campaigns for local audiences, explain products such as energy storage systems in clear, practical terms, and use campaign data and market feedback to help the global team understand regional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Adapt global campaigns for Kenyan and East African audiences across solar, electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Plan and manage targeted campaigns on LinkedIn, Meta platforms and Google Ads to attract and nurture business leads, including solar contractors and fleet managers.
- Produce locally relevant marketing content, including installation case studies and customer video testimonials that demonstrate product performance in Kenyan conditions.
- Build engagement among engineers and renewable energy enthusiasts through webinars and ongoing social media activity.
- Promote regional trade shows, including Solar Africa Expo, and support digital communications for product launches.
- Improve regional search visibility for relevant topics, including energy storage in Kenya and lithium battery management systems.
- Monitor campaign results, identify market and competitor trends, and share useful findings with the global team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, information technology or a related field.
- At least two years of digital marketing experience; experience in Kenya’s solar, construction or technology sectors is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical products such as hybrid inverters and LiFePO4 batteries to business audiences.
- Strong written and spoken English; Swahili proficiency is an advantage, particularly for creating local content.
- Basic working knowledge of Canva, CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite for producing social media assets.
