Role Overview
This Account Manager role is the connective tissue between client business goals and the creative work an agency produces. You will be the day-to-day lead for major accounts, turning client objectives into clear briefs, keeping projects moving, and making sure the final output delivers on both commercial targets and creative ambition. The position matters because it protects the client relationship, helps internal teams do their best work, and drives results for brands that operate on a global stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary client contact for assigned accounts, building trust with stakeholders and understanding their business priorities, marketing calendars, and success measures.
- Convert client requests into actionable creative briefs that give strategy, design, copy, and production teams the context they need to deliver strong work.
- Manage project timelines, estimates, resource needs, status documents, and approval workflows from kickoff through final delivery.
- Lead client presentations, creative reviews, and feedback sessions, then consolidate input into clear next steps for internal teams.
- Track budgets, scopes, change orders, and billing details, flagging financial or schedule risks before they become problems.
- Partner with strategy, media, and analytics colleagues to report on campaign performance and recommend improvements or new opportunities.
- Identify ways to grow existing accounts, support pitch and proposal efforts, and bring senior leaders into conversations when needed.
- Balance client expectations with creative integrity, resolving conflicts, managing scope creep, and keeping all parties informed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Three to five years of account management experience in a creative agency, marketing agency, advertising environment, or comparable client-facing role.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Working knowledge of how creative campaigns are developed and produced across digital, social, content, and traditional channels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt tone for clients and internal teams.
- Strong project management habits: organised, detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines without losing quality.
- Commercial awareness of budgets, estimates, scopes, and billing, plus comfort discussing financial details with clients and senior staff.
- Collaborative approach and resilience under pressure, especially when balancing client KPIs with ambitious creative ideas.
- Experience with global or high-profile brands is valuable, as is familiarity with project management and presentation tools.
