Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Loans (Relationship) Officer to develop and maintain strong client relationships while driving loan portfolio growth. You will assess applications, recommend approvals, manage disbursements, monitor repayments, and provide clients with tailored financial solutions. The role also involves promoting loan products, resolving delinquency issues, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, goal-oriented, and experienced in financial services and credit assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction

• Assess loan applications, verify documentation, and recommend approvals

• Disburse loans and monitor repayment schedules to maintain a healthy portfolio

• Actively promote loan products and increase market penetration

• Engage potential clients and expand the loan customer base

• Resolve delinquency issues and advise clients on repayment strategies

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

• Prepare reports on loan performance, client risk, and portfolio growth

Key Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in any field

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Loans or Relationship Officer in a SACCO, MFI, or Bank

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills

• Knowledge of loan products, financial services, and credit assessment

• Ability to work independently and meet set targets

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
