  • Assess student progress through examinations, essays, oral presentations, and other evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Hold regular office hours and offer individualised guidance to students on coursework, research projects, and academic pathways.
  • Develop and maintain an active research agenda in French studies, producing scholarly outputs such as journal articles, book chapters, or conference presentations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, faculty committees, and university-wide academic initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment by employing varied teaching strategies that accommodate diverse student backgrounds and abilities.

  • Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience, evidenced by course evaluations, peer observations, publications, or conference participation.
  • A strong commitment to high-quality teaching, including clear communication, effective course design, and responsiveness to student needs.
  • Ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic rigor.
  • Proficiency in both English and French appropriate for academic instruction and scholarly research.
