Role Overview
This role places you at the centre of our travel operations, where you will be responsible for converting client requests into confirmed, fully documented itineraries using the Galileo GDS platform. Day to day, you will prepare accurate fare quotations, issue and reissue tickets, manage cancellations, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure every booking runs smoothly. Your precision and responsiveness directly influence client trust and the company's ability to deliver seamless travel experiences across corporate and leisure segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed travel quotations for clients, covering flights, accommodation, ground transport, and ancillaries, while proactively managing itinerary changes and cancellations.
- Execute daily ticketing and reservation tasks on Galileo and Travelport, ensuring correct fare application, timely issuance, and proper reissue or refund procedures.
- Compile and verify all required travel documentation, including visas, permits, travel insurance, and supplier contracts, flagging any discrepancies before final confirmation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with airlines, hotels, tour guides, and transport providers to secure competitive rates and reliable service for clients.
- Keep internal booking logs and reporting systems up to date, ensuring every transaction is accurately recorded and easily retrievable for audit or reference.
- Work closely with other teams such as operations, accounting, and client services to resolve booking issues, align on schedules, and deliver complete end-to-end travel solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Two to three years of hands-on GDS experience with Galileo or Travelport, with demonstrated fluency in ticketing workflows, fare rules, and PNR management.
- A customer-first mindset, combined with a friendly, outgoing, and professional manner when dealing with clients, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments, showing initiative and clear communication when coordinating complex bookings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple bookings simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
