Role Overview
Amara Capital Limited is looking for a part-time Training and Events Sales Executive to drive attendance and revenue across its professional training courses and business networking gatherings in Nairobi. This hybrid role blends remote selling with in-person engagement, focusing on converting local business owners and decision-makers into registered participants. The work directly supports the company's goal of keeping its programs commercially viable and consistently well-attended.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and profile prospective clients within Nairobi's business community who are likely to benefit from training programs and networking events.
- Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to introduce offerings and spark interest.
- Present and pitch training and event packages to business owners, managers, and other decision-makers, adapting the value proposition to each prospect's priorities.
- Manage the complete sales pipeline, from initial lead capture through follow-up, negotiation, and closing of registrations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, outcomes, and next steps using CRM systems and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with event schedules and assist with basic event coordination tasks.
- Gather market intelligence and participant feedback to help refine and improve future training programs and events.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven sales and business development capabilities, including lead generation, client relationship management, and deal closing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, capable of juggling multiple prospects, follow-ups, and deadlines within a part-time schedule.
- Comfort with hybrid work setups and proficiency in digital tools such as email, CRM software, spreadsheets, and video conferencing platforms.
- Prior experience in event sales, training services, or B2B sales environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with the local business landscape in Nairobi County and surrounding areas is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative mindset when dealing with colleagues and clients.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
