- Conduct individual and group critiques on student projects to develop their creative and technical problem-solving skills.
- Design assignments that simulate real-world client briefs, encouraging collaboration and deadline management.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to teach graphic design fundamentals and digital presentation techniques.
- Set up and maintain classroom hardware and software, ensuring all tools are updated and accessible for each session.
- Track learner progress through formative and summative assessments, providing written and verbal feedback for portfolio development.
- Collaborate with other faculty to align curriculum with industry trends and accreditation standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, visual communication, or a closely related field.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., DTTE, PGDE, or equivalent) strongly preferred for full-time instructional roles.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at a tertiary or vocational level, OR at least 3 years of professional practice in architecture or design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Archicad, SketchUp, Premiere Pro, and the full Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with additional tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or After Effects is advantageous.
- Experience assessing student work and providing constructive feedback in a classroom or workshop setting.
