Role Overview

You will step into a classroom environment shaped by the British International Curriculum, delivering lessons that are both academically rigorous and responsive to the needs of each learner. Your day-to-day work involves lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment, and ongoing communication with parents and colleagues, all while modelling professionalism and a genuine commitment to student well-being. This role is essential because it directly supports the school's aim to provide a supportive, collaborative, and future-ready education that helps every pupil succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the British International Curriculum and meet agreed learning outcomes.
  • Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor learner progress, provide meaningful feedback, and adjust instruction where needed.
  • Differentiate teaching to support students with different abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds.
  • Integrate modern and 21st-century pedagogical practices, including technology-enhanced learning, inquiry-based methods, and collaborative activities.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, resilience, and mutual respect.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues about student achievement and areas for growth.
  • Participate actively in school meetings, professional development sessions, curriculum reviews, and whole-school initiatives.
  • Lead or support at least one co-curricular activity, helping learners develop interests and skills beyond the classroom.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A minimum of two years' experience teaching the British International Curriculum.
  • Current registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Strong knowledge of modern, student-centred teaching methods appropriate for 21st-century classrooms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and reliability in all aspects of school life.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage time, resources, and assessment records effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to at least one co-curricular area.
