Role Overview
As a remote recruiter based in Kenya, you’ll help fill field-based and skilled-trade roles across sectors such as telecom infrastructure, fiber deployment, utilities, and construction. You’ll build candidate pipelines through targeted sourcing, guide applicants through the recruitment process, and work closely with hiring managers and clients to match people with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Boolean searches, and outreach to passive talent.
- Recruit for roles in telecom, fiber optics, utility and construction work, skilled trades, HDD and directional drilling, or field operations.
- Map competitors and related employers to identify potential candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
- Manage applicant progress, recruitment pipelines, and candidate records in an ATS and tracking tools.
- Coordinate with hiring managers and clients to understand role requirements and provide updates on candidate activity.
- Maintain clear communication with candidates throughout screening and selection.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of recruitment experience.
- Demonstrated recruiting experience in one or more relevant areas, including telecom, fiber optics, utility construction, construction, skilled trades, HDD or directional drilling, and field operations.
- Strong sourcing skills, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Boolean search, passive-candidate outreach, and competitor mapping.
- Experience managing ATS platforms, recruitment pipelines, and candidate trackers.
- Experience working directly with hiring managers and clients.
- Advanced English proficiency at C1 level.
- Recruiters whose background is limited to software engineering, corporate IT, SaaS, FinTech, or HealthTech roles are not a match for this position.
