Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mathematics and ICT educator to combine classroom teaching with school leadership responsibilities. The role involves supporting effective curriculum delivery, guiding colleagues and learners, and ensuring teaching practices align with Kenya’s Competency-Based Education framework and current education policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics and ICT, planning lessons and learning activities suited to learners’ needs.
- Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and use results to inform instruction.
- Apply CBE principles and relevant education policies in classroom practice.
- Use ICT tools to support teaching, learning and administrative work.
- Contribute leadership experience to departmental or wider school coordination.
- Support consistent teaching standards and professional practice among colleagues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognised institution.
- Valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration and compliance with TSC professional standards.
- At least five years of teaching experience, including a minimum of three years in a leadership role such as Head of Department, Senior Teacher or Deputy.
- Strong understanding of Competency-Based Education and current education policies.
- Proficiency in using ICT for both instructional and administrative purposes.
- Ability to teach Mathematics and ICT.
