Role Overview
This position sits at the center of a global humanitarian organization's efforts to grow corporate support for health initiatives. You will manage a portfolio of major corporate partners and cultivate new prospects, working to diversify funding streams and unlock flexible resources that allow the organization to respond quickly where needs are greatest. Day to day, you will move between strategic planning, relationship management, and hands-on proposal development—translating complex health programming into compelling partnership opportunities for some of the world’s most influential companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects valued at more than $3M USD annually, with an emphasis on expanding unrestricted funding and deepening sector influence.
- Support the development of the Global Health partnerships strategy, identifying high-potential corporate segments and tailoring engagement models—ranging from strategic alliances and employee giving programs to pro bono partnerships.
- Proactively research and build a pipeline of new corporate prospects within the global health and financial services sectors, working alongside the Associate Director to convert them into active donors.
- Design and implement account plans for each partner, including stewardship touchpoints, growth targets, and multi-year engagement strategies that align with donor motivations and organizational priorities.
- Prepare and refine all external-facing materials, including partnership overviews, concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, and impact reports tailored to each prospect or partner.
- Coordinate with internal teams across digital, creative, and events functions to integrate health-focused campaigns and virtual or in-person gatherings into broader fundraising efforts.
- Build and maintain a robust client servicing framework for each partner, tracking key performance indicators, reporting cadences, and satisfaction metrics to ensure retention and income growth.
- Act as a liaison between corporate partners, organizational program staff, and other fundraising colleagues, ensuring smooth communication and timely follow-through on all commitments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; at least six years of relevant professional background is expected.
- A minimum of six years in corporate partnership development or front-line corporate fundraising, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience working within the global health sector and a clear understanding of its key stakeholders, funding landscapes, and emerging trends.
- Proven track record of soliciting and managing corporate partnerships valued at $500,000 USD or more annually.
- Ability to design thoughtful project plans and execute them on deadline, while balancing shifting priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage both internal cross-functional teams and senior external contacts.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including experience coordinating global, cross-functional teams on simultaneous initiatives.
- Willingness to travel within the United States at least twice per year for partner meetings, and occasionally internationally for conferences or other engagements.
