Egerton University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above positions in the Department of Environmental Law.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Option 1: PhD Path

• An earned PhD in Environmental Law from a recognised university.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or research/industry experience as a Lecturer.

Option 2: Master’s Degree Path

• A Master’s degree in Environmental Law from a recognised university.
• A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least sixteen (16) must be from refereed journals.
• Have supervised a minimum of two (2) post-graduate students to completion as a Lecturer.
• Be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
• Have the minimum points required for each activity.

Salary Scale

• Senior Lecturer Grade 13: Kshs. 154,739.00 – Kshs. 238,221.00
• Lecturer Grade 12: Kshs. 121,928.00 – Kshs. 187,710.00
• Grant Officer Grade 12: Kshs. 119,858.00 – Kshs. 184,523.00
