Role Overview
You will design, build, and operate the internal platforms and automation tooling that engineering teams rely on to ship software safely and quickly. Your day-to-day work involves turning manual release processes into self-service pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure as code, and embedding security checks into every stage of delivery. By keeping these systems stable, observable, and easy to use, you directly help the organization bring customer-facing features to market faster while reducing operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support multiple product teams, from code commit to production deployment, ensuring fast feedback and minimal manual intervention.
- Build and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including cluster provisioning, namespace policies, resource quotas, and application deployment strategies.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code modules using tools like Terraform to provision cloud resources reproducibly across environments, enabling full environment parity.
- Implement GitOps workflows so that infrastructure and application configurations are version-controlled, auditable, and automatically reconciled with the desired state.
- Design and deploy monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems that give engineers visibility into service health and help identify root causes quickly.
- Create self-service developer tools and internal portals that allow teams to request environments, deploy services, and access logs without waiting on the platform team.
- Embed DevSecOps practices into the delivery lifecycle, including static code analysis, secret scanning, container image vulnerability scanning, and automated compliance checks.
- Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and architects to align platform capabilities with business priorities and evolving technical requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch and maintaining them in production environments, using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, identity, and core compute/storage services.
- Solid experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, along with a good grasp of best practices for state management, modules, and remote backends.
- Deep familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in production settings, including Helm charts, service meshes, and troubleshooting cluster issues.
- Hands-on experience implementing monitoring and observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, plus experience with Agile ways of working.
- Industry certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), RHCE, or Terraform Associate are considered a strong plus.
