Job Description

Job Title: Wealth Solutions Manager – Retail Investments

Job Purpose

The main purpose of this role is to drive the distribution of Unit Trust Funds, Global/Offshore Funds, and other wealth products distributed and/or owned by NCBA Investment Bank. The job holder will deliver end‑to‑end management and growth of retail wealth solutions by owning the sales customer journey, supporting business development through proposal preparation, managing feedback on wealth products, driving product commercialisation, and continuously enhancing investment offerings. The role focuses on accelerating business growth through client acquisition, portfolio deepening, and market expansion, while equipping Relationship Managers and frontline teams with the knowledge, tools, and training needed to effectively position and deliver wealth solutions. Success is achieved through data‑driven insights, strong stakeholder collaboration, and disciplined governance within a dynamic regulatory environment. The role also acts as the bridge between the bank and its product houses (NCBA Investment Bank & Global Markets).

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Distribution: Drive the acquisition and retention of retail clients for Unit Trust Funds, Global/Offshore Funds, and other wealth products distributed by NCBA Investment Bank.
  • Customer Journey Management: Own and continuously improve the end‑to‑end sales customer journey for wealth solutions.
  • Business Support: Prepare investment proposals, manage feedback on wealth products, and support product commercialisation.
  • Market Expansion: Accelerate business growth through client portfolio deepening and entry into new market segments.
  • Frontline Enablement: Equip Relationship Managers and frontline teams with the knowledge, tools, and training to effectively position and sell wealth solutions.
  • Data & Insights: Leverage data‑driven insights to identify growth opportunities, measure performance, and inform strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the bank and its product houses (NCBA Investment Bank & Global Markets) to ensure alignment on product offerings and execution.
  • Governance & Compliance: Operate within a disciplined governance framework, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Academic: Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field is required. A Master’s degree will be an added benefit.
  • Professional: Professional qualifications in wealth management and investments such as CISI, CIFA, or CFA are advantageous.

Experience

Up to 10 years’ experience in commercial or retail banking, sales, and lending, including at least 4 years in a management position within a similar organisation. Strong knowledge of wealth management, banking products and services, industry regulations, and commercial banking practices is essential. The ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment is required.
