Senior Finance Manager – FMCG / Manufacturing
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to lead our accounting and finance operations. This is a key leadership role that requires deep expertise in financial management, IFRS compliance, and team supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the FMCG or manufacturing sector and a proven ability to drive financial integrity and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting and finance operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Perform monthly bank, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide management reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.
- Analyze production costs and profitability.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.
- Support ERP implementation and financial system improvements.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
- Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
- Experience managing audits and statutory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
