Senior Accountant

Darwin Accounting Services is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant to join its professional finance team. This role is designed for accounting professionals with solid UAE experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation who possess strong technical expertise and a thorough understanding of IFRS and UAE tax regulations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complete accounting operations, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting clients with advisory services. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple financial responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
• Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards and UAE regulatory requirements
• Lead and assist with both internal and external audit processes, ensuring audit schedules and supporting documents are prepared on time
• Manage VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including registrations, return filings, reconciliations, and advisory support
• Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control evaluations to support business decisions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing professional guidance on accounting and tax matters
• Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and quality standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA will be considered an advantage
• 3–5 years of UAE-based experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation roles
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and Corporate Tax regulations
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent platforms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
