Position: Sales Executive – Cybersecurity

Reporting Line: Operations Business Manager

Industry: Information Technology

Gross Salary: Kshs. 100,000 + Performance Incentives

Role Purpose

We are seeking a high-performing Sales Executive to spearhead the market expansion of our cyber security service offerings. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical security needs and business objectives, serving as a trusted advisor to corporate clients. The successful candidate will navigate the full sales lifecycle—from initial prospecting and lead qualification to final contract negotiation and long-term account management. This position demands a unique blend of technical literacy in cyber security and aggressive B2B sales acumen to close deals in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Functional Responsibilities

Business Development & Pipeline Strategy

  • Execute aggressive lead generation and prospecting activities across various channels to build a robust sales funnel.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline, ensuring consistent revenue growth and the achievement of quarterly targets.

  • Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and competitor movements.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, providing senior management with reliable revenue forecasts and activity reports.

Consultative Selling & Technical Demonstrations

  • Consult with potential clients to diagnose their security vulnerabilities and recommend tailored cyber defense solutions.

  • Deliver high-impact sales presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate the value proposition of our security services.

  • Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with the client’s infrastructure.

  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and prepare detailed commercial proposals that address complex technical requirements.

Relationship Management & Negotiation

  • Lead high-level negotiations regarding pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms.

  • Foster long-term business partnerships with key stakeholders to drive client retention and account expansion.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to refine sales strategies based on real-world client feedback.

Professional Requirements

Background & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, IT, or a related academic field.

  • Professional Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainstream B2B sales.

  • Sector Expertise: Proven track record in selling IT services, technology solutions, or cyber security products.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of cyber security concepts, threat landscapes, and defense mechanisms.

Core Competencies

  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Autonomy: Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple high-value accounts independently.

  • Results-Orientation: A documented history of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
