Role Overview
The Sales and Marketing Manager owns the commercial performance of a restaurant and a collection of short-term accommodation units in Upper Hill, Nairobi. On a typical day, this means meeting corporate prospects, checking and updating online booking listings, reviewing rates against nearby competitors, and pushing campaigns that bring diners through the door and guests into rooms. The position matters because it links marketing, pricing, partnerships, and guest retention into one revenue-focused role rather than separating them across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute sales plans that increase restaurant covers and keep short-stay units booked throughout the year.
- Track competitor rates, seasonal demand, and local market shifts, then adjust promotional pricing and packages to protect revenue and occupancy.
- Create and maintain listings on online travel agencies, local booking sites, and direct booking channels, keeping availability, descriptions, photos, and rates accurate.
- Run online and offline campaigns that promote menu items, dining experiences, room features, and special offers.
- Manage social media accounts, paid digital ads, influencer partnerships, and review or reputation platforms to grow visibility and guest trust.
- Prospect and negotiate long-term corporate accounts with companies, event organizers, and travel agencies.
- Design group dining menus, conference packages, weekend promotions, and extended-stay offers that appeal to target guests.
- Gather guest feedback and booking data, then use it to improve service, marketing messages, and direct return bookings.
