Mission & Scope

The Public Area Attendant acts as a guardian of the establishment’s first impression. Your primary mandate is to ensure that all shared spaces—from the grand lobby to high-traffic corridors and executive meeting rooms—remain in impeccable condition throughout the day. This role requires a blend of physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a polished professional demeanor. Beyond cleaning, you will serve as a frontline point of contact for guests, providing basic assistance and ensuring that event spaces are perfectly configured to meet client expectations.

The Impact You’ll Make

Facility Maintenance & Aesthetic Standards

• Execute rigorous cleaning schedules for lobbies, reception areas, and restrooms to meet elite hygiene benchmarks.

• Master the use of floor care equipment for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing various surfaces.

• Ensure all decorative fixtures, furniture, and high-touch points are dusted and sanitized consistently.

• Manage the inventory of consumables, ensuring soaps, sanitizers, and tissues are always replenished for guest use.

Operational & Event Support

• Collaborate with the events team to arrange furniture and equipment for meetings and special functions according to specific floor plans.

• Facilitate the rapid reset of event spaces following the conclusion of meetings to ensure readiness for subsequent bookings.

• Identify and report maintenance requirements or safety hazards to the engineering department immediately.

Guest Relations & Professionalism

• Greet all visitors with a warm and approachable attitude, offering directions and basic facility information.

• Maintain a pristine personal appearance that reflects the high standards of the hospitality brand.

• Uphold strict compliance with occupational health and safety protocols, especially regarding the use of industrial cleaning chemicals.

Who You Are

• Background: You hold a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

• Experience: You have at least 2 years of proven success in a housekeeping or public area role within a hotel or high-end facility.

• Knowledge: You possess a deep understanding of sanitation procedures and modern cleaning methodologies.

• Skills: You are capable of working independently, following complex instructions with accuracy and speed.
