Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Supervisor, Waiters and Waitresses represent the frontline hospitality team responsible for welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking accurate orders, delivering food and drinks promptly, and ensuring hygienic dining surroundings in a high-volume central business district establishment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services & Order Handling

• Welcome dining guests with a warm, polite, and professional attitude upon arrival.

• Present menus, explain daily specials, offer meal recommendations, and answer ingredient inquiries.

• Capture food and beverage orders accurately and communicate guest preferences to the kitchen and bar teams.

• Deliver meals and drinks promptly in accordance with established table service standards.

Operations, Hygiene & Payments

• Clear dishes, sanitize tables, reset dining setups, and maintain overall dining area cleanliness.

• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout meals and address customer requests or concerns professionally.

• Prepare accurate guest bills, process cash or digital payments, and balance register transactions where assigned.

• Follow strict food handling hygiene, sanitation protocols, and workplace safety standards.

Candidate Profile

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Certificate in Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an added advantage.

• Experience: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer-facing service environment is preferred.

• Availability: Willingness to work flexible operational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Communication: Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.

• Work Ethic: Honest, reliable, punctual, and capable of handling high-pressure dining peak hours with a positive team spirit.
