If you are a driven and ambitious engineering graduate looking for a structured 12-month development experience, this Project Trainee opportunity in Nairobi could be your launchpad.

As a Project Trainee, you will join our Engineering and EHS teams and support a wide range of projects, from reviewing engineering drawings and EHS assessments to delivering automation projects, commissioning new equipment and strengthening asset reliability. You will receive hands-on mentored experience in project scheduling, CMMS management, spare parts inventory and calibration, all within a high-performance, values-led culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BA/BSc/HND) or a related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge and exposure to computerised management systems and other ERP platforms
  • Understanding of EHS principles and experience supporting EHS assessments and reviews
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs and layouts
  • Familiarity with automation projects, equipment installation and commissioning processes
  • Strong organisational skills for project scheduling, maintenance planning and inventory management
  • Excellent attention to detail, data integrity awareness and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the review of EHS and EHS assessments to help maintain compliance across engineering activities
  • Review engineering drawings, including P&IDs and layouts, to support project delivery
  • Deliver assigned automation projects from specification through to installation and commissioning
  • Support specifications, OEM engagement, installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Assist engineering technicians in executing breakdown, corrective, planned and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Help with job scheduling, setup and management of project schedules
  • Assist in engineering spares inventory management and equipment calibration
  • Conduct periodic CMMS work order reviews to maintain data integrity and compliance
