About the Opportunity
- A leading impact-focused Foundation is seeking a highly experienced Interim Consultant – Programmes & Strategic Delivery to provide short-term leadership and execution support across its programme portfolio during a transition period.
- This consultancy assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives aimed at driving economic participation, strengthening resilience, and creating sustainable social and economic outcomes.
- The successful consultant will ensure programme continuity, strengthen operational effectiveness, support strategic partnerships, and prepare the organisation for a seamless transition to permanent leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Oversight & Execution
- Provide day-to-day oversight of programme implementation.
- Ensure programmes are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned to intended outcomes.
- Identify execution challenges and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Strategic Delivery & Operational Strengthening
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable execution plans.
- Strengthen programme coordination and delivery mechanisms.
- Improve operational efficiency and accountability across the portfolio.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.
- Support partnership development and resource mobilisation initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth of strategic collaboration opportunities.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
- Strengthen programme monitoring and performance tracking systems.
- Support data-driven decision-making and reporting.
- Promote continuous learning and improvement across programmes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Support effective governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and risk management requirements.
Executive Support & Transition Management
- Provide strategic and operational support to senior leadership.
- Develop transition plans and handover documentation for the incoming programme
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in programme leadership, development, strategy execution, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex programmes and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Strong project execution, planning, and operational management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership management capabilities.
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and performance management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timelines.
