A client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing operations across the full production cycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning production activities, managing production teams, coordinating with supporting departments, and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved.
The role will focus on improving productivity, OEE, material utilization, and waste reduction while maintaining compliance with HSE, GMP, SOPs, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong manufacturing background and proven leadership experience in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
• Oversee the complete manufacturing process from raw material receipt through finished goods.
• Lead, develop, and manage production teams to achieve operational targets.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, Stores, Planning, and Logistics departments.
• Drive process improvements, productivity initiatives, OEE enhancement, and waste reduction.
• Ensure sufficient availability and efficient utilization of raw and packaging materials.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and work to minimize machine downtime.
• Monitor production costs, labour efficiency, and material utilization.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, GMP, SOPs, and internal quality standards.
• Prepare production reports and provide performance updates to senior management.
Requirements:
• 8–12 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager position.
• Experience in FMCG, personal care, hygiene, cosmetics, tissue converting, pharmaceuticals, or similar manufacturing industries.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong production planning and manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Focus, or similar platforms.
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
• Production planning and process optimization
• HSE, SOPs, and quality standards
