Role Overview
You will own the product experience for how independent contractors interact with a global employment platform, from onboarding through ongoing management. Day to day, that means using AI-assisted coding tools to quickly build and test prototypes yourself, then iterating with engineers and designers to ship improvements. Your decisions directly affect the ease with which contractors around the world can start and sustain work across borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Use AI tooling (such as Cursor or Claude Code) to autonomously create, debug, and ship functional prototypes or small code changes that validate product ideas.
- Own the complete contractor experience — not just software but also the service components delivered by human teams.
- Define the product roadmap for the contractor management vertical, aligning near-term sprints with broader company priorities.
- Break high-level strategy into clear, communicable goals that engineers, designers, and stakeholders can rally around.
- Manage expectations across departments (sales, operations, etc.) when prioritising complex features and navigating trade-offs.
- Become the go-to subject matter expert for contractor-related product questions, business rules, and regulatory nuances.
- Contribute to growth and scaling plans by identifying opportunities to improve the contractor lifecycle.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve intricate problems that require both technical and business-domain thinking.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous product management experience, preferably in a high-growth or scaling environment.
- Must be proficient with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) and able to independently build, debug, and ship working prototypes or small code changes.
- Strong judgement in both strategic decisions (what to build next) and tactical choices (exact feature scope).
- Track record of self-driven, measurable improvements that moved a product in the right direction.
- Passion for designing seamless user experiences around complex, often ambiguous problems.
- Excellent communication skills for working across departments and explaining product decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Bonus: previous experience working in a fully remote or distributed team.
