Procurement Engineer / Purchase Officer

A leading construction organization is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer / Purchase Officer to support high-rise building projects in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong procurement expertise, supplier management experience, and a proven background in sourcing construction materials for major developments.

The successful candidate will manage procurement activities, negotiate with suppliers, coordinate material deliveries, and ensure compliance with project requirements and approval standards. The position requires excellent organizational skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for high-rise construction projects, including material sourcing, supplier evaluation, and purchasing.

• Source and procure Civil, Structural, Finishing, and MEP materials according to project requirements.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.

• Negotiate competitive pricing, quality standards, and delivery timelines with vendors.

• Manage purchase orders, material tracking, logistics coordination, and site delivery schedules.

• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.

• Ensure materials comply with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, consultant approvals, and project specifications.

• Monitor procurement progress and proactively resolve supply chain issues to prevent project delays.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of total UAE experience in procurement within the construction sector.

• Proven experience working on high-rise building projects in Dubai.

• Strong hands-on experience in sourcing and purchasing construction materials.

• Existing network of local suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors is preferred.

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.

• Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice are preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Civil, Structural, Finishing, and MEP material procurement.

• Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and consultant approval procedures.

• Purchase order management, logistics coordination, and construction supply chain processes.
