Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially sharp sales leader who knows the polymer and plastic raw materials market inside out, and can turn that knowledge into lasting customer relationships and profitable growth. In this role, you will take charge of the full commercial strategy for a portfolio of thermoplastic resins, working directly with converters, processors, and industrial buyers while leading a sales team that shares your drive for results. Your work will help the company expand its footprint in high-demand sectors and secure its position as a trusted supplier of plastic raw materials. The deadline to apply is 23 September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual commercial plans that deliver on revenue, volume, profitability, and market share targets for the polymer business.
- Identify and win new accounts in packaging, infrastructure, manufacturing, and consumer goods, growing the company’s customer base and share of existing accounts.
- Drive sales and market adoption of commodity and specialty resins, including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC, PET, ABS, PS, and engineered polymer grades.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with key industrial customers, plastic converters, and processors, ensuring consistent supply and high levels of service.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting clear objectives and promoting a high-performance culture across the commercial function.
- Monitor raw material pricing, competitor activity, and shifts in downstream demand to inform pricing decisions, inventory planning, and long-term business strategy.
- Collaborate with internal supply chain and technical teams to align product availability with customer needs and resolve any quality or application issues quickly.
- Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable and knowledgeable polymer supplier.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in polymer engineering, chemical engineering, business administration, commerce, or a related discipline; an MBA in marketing or sales management is a strong plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in polymer sales, petrochemical distribution, plastic raw material trading, or a closely related industrial sector.
- Proven success in B2B business development, key account management, and market expansion, with a clear record of generating new revenue opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, contract negotiation, and the ability to assess commercial risk.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with procurement leaders, plant managers, and executive decision-makers.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience building, motivating, and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Solid understanding of polymer applications, processing methods, and the supply chain dynamics that affect resin availability and pricing.
