Sales and Administrative Assistant

Role Overview

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role anchors the Mombasa branch of an IT solutions and technology hardware business by keeping sales, service intake, stock control, and front-office administration moving together. Day to day, you will welcome walk-in customers, turn product enquiries into sales, book equipment for repair, track inventory, and handle cashiering and records with accuracy. Your work matters because it connects client needs with technical support and helps the branch deliver reliable service while growing its customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in clients, understand what they need, and recommend suitable IT hardware or office technology products to convert enquiries into sales.
• Build the branch customer base through cold calls, follow-ups on quotations or enquiries, and targeted outreach to potential buyers.
• Keep product displays clean, clearly labelled, and well arranged, and follow up after purchases to check satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Cover the reception desk by answering phone calls, screening email, welcoming visitors, and directing them to the right colleague or department.
• Handle cashiering duties, including issuing invoices, receiving payments, and reconciling daily transaction records against receipts and system entries.
• Receive customer equipment brought for repair, create job cards, pass items to technicians, monitor repair progress, notify clients when ready, and confirm full payment before release.
