Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and counsel patients on proper use and side effects.
- Review and verify prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential interactions.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient medication profiles using Health Management Information Systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals, and minimize waste.
- Adhere strictly to all regulatory requirements set by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Participate in patient education, health promotion, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and interns as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Experience: At least 3 years of post-internship working experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Licensing: Registered and with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
- Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
