Job Title: Hospital Pharmacist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Hospital Pharmacist to join our pharmaceutical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications in a hospital setting. This role requires close collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing
• Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile compounds, according to established protocols
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical pharmacy services
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and inventory levels
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare staff
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
• Comply with all regulatory requirements from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
• At least 3 years of post-internship working experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Registered and with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
