Role Overview
We are seeking qualified lecturers to join Kaimosi Friends University across its five schools, where you will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in your specialised discipline. In this role, you will shape the academic experience through direct teaching, practical supervision, and continuous assessment, while also contributing to the development of course content and learning resources that align with the university’s approved curricula.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and tutorials within your area of specialisation, following the approved syllabus and program curricula.
- Coordinate course projects, laboratory work, and practical sessions to ensure students meet learning outcomes.
- Develop and update teaching and learning materials, including lecture notes, case studies, and supplementary resources.
- Set examinations and continuous assessment tasks, invigilate examinations, and mark assignments or scripts in accordance with university guidelines.
- Provide academic guidance and feedback to students during consultation hours or via university-supported platforms.
- Participate in departmental activities such as curriculum reviews, academic committees, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly or professional activities that support teaching excellence, including applied research or industry collaboration where relevant.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited and recognised university; a Master’s degree may be considered where applicable.
- Demonstrable teaching experience at university level, or equivalent professional experience in research or industry within the relevant field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and student-assessment skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple teaching responsibilities and meet academic deadlines.
- For applicants with qualifications obtained outside Kenya, a valid equation or recognition certificate from the appropriate authorities is required.
