- Maintain and organize case files in electronic case management and document management systems, ensuring all records are current, complete, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate attorneys' preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including assembling exhibits, binders, and supporting materials.
- Monitor case calendars and litigation timelines, proactively identifying upcoming deadlines and alerting the team to potential scheduling conflicts.
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel about case-related matters, gathering information and providing clear updates under attorney supervision.
- Handle state and federal court e-filing processes and verify that all submissions comply with applicable court rules and formatting requirements.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks, document production, and general litigation workflow to keep cases moving forward in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or a related legal field; candidates currently pursuing an LLB or similar law qualification are also considered.
- At least 1.5 years of practical paralegal experience, preferably within a U.S.-oriented legal practice.
- Mandatory prior experience working in a law firm setting; exposure to labor and employment or wage and hour matters is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience preparing and responding to discovery, managing court calendars and hearing schedules, and supporting mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with state and federal court e-filing systems and procedures.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency with strong legal drafting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and experience using case management platforms such as Litify or similar systems; working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
