Role Overview
You will work inside a working recording and production environment, where your day-to-day focus is capturing, editing, and polishing audio for clients across music and live sound projects. Your technical ear and practical studio knowledge will directly impact the quality of final releases, session experiences, and client confidence.

- Prepare and manage recording sessions, including microphone selection and placement, input routing, and hardware setup.
- Operate digital audio workstations such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools to record, edit, arrange, and process audio.
- Mix and master tracked material to a commercial standard, ensuring tonal balance, clarity, and dynamic consistency.
- Maintain and calibrate studio equipment, including monitors, microphones, interfaces, outboard gear, and acoustic treatments.
- Assess room acoustics and advise on studio layout adjustments to resolve phase issues, unwanted reflections, and standing-wave problems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults in audio software, drivers, and signal chains during live or session work.
- Collaborate with artists, producers, and clients to interpret creative goals and deliver audio that meets the intended vision.
- Provide live sound engineering support for performances or sessions recorded in non-studio spaces, adapting setups to changing acoustics.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Practical working experience with major DAWs, particularly Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools, in a professional or independent capacity.
- A portfolio of professional credits in music production or live sound engineering, demonstrating real-world delivery and client-facing work.
- Solid knowledge of acoustics and studio design, including an understanding of how room dimensions, surface materials, and speaker placement affect recording and mixing results.
- A Diploma in Music Production & Sound Engineering, or equivalent formal study covering audio theory, signal flow, critical listening, and studio operations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills to manage session timelines, equipment logistics, and client feedback effectively.
