Medical Sales Executive – Surgical Portfolio

The Surgical Portfolio Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market development, and operational excellence across the surgical and endoscopy portfolios.
This role involves managing key hospital accounts, executing strategic sales initiatives, coordinating installations and after-sales support, and ensuring strong supplier and customer relationships across Kenya and the East African region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth across all assigned surgical portfolios
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals and healthcare institutions
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, quotation, negotiation, and closing
- Support tender participation and ensure competitive positioning
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Align on marketing strategies, forecasts, and business plans
Key Account Management
- Manage strategic hospital accounts (public and private sector)
- Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, biomedical teams, procurement, and management
- Map key decision-makers and identify opportunities within each account
- Develop account plans and track opportunities through the sales funnel
Product & Clinical Support
- Provide product demonstrations and clinical support
- Support theatre cases, workshops, and clinical training sessions
- Work closely with surgeons to ensure optimal product usage and outcomes
Key RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in medical/surgical equipment sales
- Experience handling endoscopy, electrosurgery, or surgical devices is highly preferred
