We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in a busy hospital laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to high standards of patient care, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Job Summary
Responsible for performing routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and contributing to accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure reliable results.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance protocols.
- Document and report test results accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide excellent customer care to patients.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution (KMLTTB accredited).
- Valid registration certificate and practicing license issued by the KMLTTB.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a busy hospital laboratory.
- Proficient in clinical laboratory practices and equipment handling.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer care skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Computer literacy with a certificate in computer applications.
