Role Overview
This position sits at the center of our brand execution efforts, turning marketing strategy into visible, tangible experiences across retail outlets, public spaces, and corporate events. Day to day, you will coordinate everything from billboard placements and branded fleet vehicles to in-store display units and product sampling campaigns, making sure every touchpoint reflects our standards. You will also manage supplier relationships, track budgets, and support community-focused initiatives, ensuring that our brand stays consistent and well-regarded across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee above-the-line advertising assets, including outdoor billboards, signage, and branded vehicles, while monitoring contract terms, renewal timelines, and spend efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits and route reviews to verify that all external branding is correctly installed, well maintained, and aligned with our visual identity.
- Drive in-store presence by managing additional display units and outlet branding across modern trade, general trade, and hospitality channels, coordinating with sales teams to maximise visibility and conversion.
- Lead product launch activities, consumer sampling events, and field marketing campaigns, working closely with external partners to deliver impactful experiences.
- Take ownership of corporate event coordination, including factory visitor experiences, year-end celebrations, and corporate gift selection and distribution.
- Support CSR initiatives that strengthen community relationships and enhance our corporate reputation, ensuring all activities are well documented and communicated internally.
- Manage marketing inventory, office presentation standards, and field team training to ensure every internal and external interaction reflects our brand promise.
- Handle procurement for marketing materials and services, processing purchase requests, tracking deliveries, and reconciling invoices with finance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in marketing coordination, trade marketing, or brand activation, ideally within the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
- Solid understanding of modern trade, general trade, and HORECA environments, including how buying behaviour and in-store dynamics differ across these channels.
- Proven ability to manage marketing budgets, track expenditures, and follow procurement processes without losing sight of deadlines or quality.
- Strong project management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple campaigns, suppliers, and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, enabling clear presentations to leadership, instructions to field teams, and professional correspondence with vendors.
- Willingness to travel regularly for field visits and to work flexible hours around activation schedules and event timelines.
- Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace, with particular strength in spreadsheets and presentation tools.
- High level of attention to detail, especially when reviewing branding layouts, checking visual compliance, and reconciling financial documents.
- A collaborative mindset with demonstrated integrity and transparency when dealing with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners.
