Logistics Manager

Role Overview

This role directs the safe, reliable, and cost-conscious movement of naturally sourced CO₂ from production plants to customers in domestic and export markets. Day to day, it combines dispatch scheduling, fleet readiness, driver performance, regulatory compliance, maintenance coordination, and cross-border distribution so that bulk and packaged product reaches customers on time and at controlled cost. Carbacid relies on this leader to keep fleet availability high, logistics spending disciplined, and service standards strong across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and run daily dispatch schedules for CO₂ deliveries from production sites to local and regional customers, matching load types and volumes to order requirements and delivery windows, and work with production, sales, maintenance, finance, and customer service to resolve delivery issues quickly.
• Manage fleet availability, utilisation, and vehicle allocation so that bulk and packaged CO₂ commitments are met without service gaps.
• Arrange preventive maintenance, statutory inspections, and repairs for trucks, tankers, and support vehicles to protect uptime and roadworthiness.
• Improve route design, load optimisation, turnaround times, and fuel efficiency to reduce delivery costs and strengthen service reliability.
• Uphold transport safety, hazardous-material handling, and driver compliance rules across all movements and depots.
• Coach, assess, and supervise drivers and logistics personnel, building a disciplined team focused on safety and delivery standards.
• Own cross-border transport paperwork, customs clearance, permits, and corridor compliance, including non-tariff barrier issues.
• Monitor vehicle tracking, delivery performance, incidents, product losses, and corrective actions; maintain records, KPI reports, and fleet dashboards; and control logistics budgets, fuel, spares, maintenance, and third-party transport spend.
