Junior Accountant

A well-established Road Construction and Infrastructure Company based in Dubai is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its Finance Department.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the construction, contracting, or infrastructure sector.

Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.

Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and statutory compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Process and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Support VAT filing, tax compliance, and audit-related activities.

Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for internal and external audits.

Coordinate with project and procurement teams to ensure accurate recording of project-related expenditures.

Provide administrative and accounting support to the Finance Manager as required.
