Job Overview
Pinnacle Commodities DMCC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support its finance operations. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a general understanding of how finance operates within trading environments, including transaction flow, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper bookkeeping
- Record and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company bank accounts
- Track and reconcile financial transactions related to purchases and sales
- Assist in monitoring costs, margins, and financial performance
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Handle petty cash, expense tracking, and reimbursements
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records
- Support VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance as per UAE regulations
- Assist in audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal financial controls
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
- General understanding of financial operations within trading or commercial environments
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (Corporate Tax knowledge is an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
